Rancho San Miguel Sending 32-Horse Consignment To Benchmark California Yearling Sale On September 30
Pomona, California—The depth of California’s breeding and racing program will be on full display via the 32-horse consignment that will be presented by Rancho San Miguel during the 2026 Fasig-Tipton California Fall Yearlings Sale, which will be conducted in Pomona on Wednesday, September 30. The single session of 293 cataloged entries starts at 11 a.m. on the grounds of Fairplex.
Every yearling in Rancho San Miguel’s draft for this year’s auction is a registered California-bred, representing the farm’s longstanding commitment to providing quality bloodlines and promising future racing options for Thoroughbred owners who seek to compete in the state’s restricted racing program.
All yearlings are also eligible for a newly announced $500,000 bonus from Fasig-Tipton and the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association that will be awarded to the first sale graduate who wins a Grade 1 race in the United States at age 2 or 3.
Anchoring the consignment are 20 sons and daughters of Rancho San Miguel’s resident stallions Bolden and Mo Forza, as well as three offerings by former roster members Danzing Candy, Sir Prancealot (Ire) and Uptown Rythem.
Current and former California stallions Halladay and Smiling Tiger are also represented among the group, as are the Kentucky-based sires Caracaro, Essential Quality, Karakontie (Jpn) and Yaupon.
The Rancho San Miguel yearlings will be available for on-site inspection in Barn 6, with pre-sale viewing starting on Sunday, September 27. Catalog pages, conformation photos and walking videos are currently accessible online.
