COVID-19 Health and Safety Update.

Dear Valued Client,

Our team is dedicated to the highest level of care and attention – from feeding to farrier work to veterinary care.  Even during the current COVID-19 crisis, we continue to service the breeding industry and look to the future.  With the utmost regard for the health and well-being of our staff, our employees, and the essential professionals who make up our team – and also for you, our clients – Rancho San Miguel is temporarily closed to visitors.  We have implemented biosecurity measures here at the farm and, in addition, have adopted the following NEW guidelines for horse haulers during this time:

  • When dropping off or picking up horses at our facility, please do not exit the vehicle.  Rancho San Miguel employees will load and/or unload horses on your behalf.
  • Please have your trailer or horse van assembled and ready for loading upon arrival; our employees will not be responsible for assembling parts of your trailer.
  • We are now paperless.  No paperwork will be accepted when you arrive; please have all necessary forms emailed or faxed to the office.
  • If you are sick, please find an alternate driver to pickup or deliver your horse

We are taking these precautionary steps for health and safety, and to preserve and secure our farm and our breeding program.  We appreciate your understanding and commitment.  We look forward to welcoming you back very soon.  During this period we remain open to hearing from you and discussing your horses and plans; we want to keep communication open even as we limit contagion.
